I thought the first time I saw this filly that she was something special.
When I described her to a friend I said, “She looks like she could run Rolex.”

So, this weekend wasn’t The Rolex…..
but it was Baby T-Rex’s very first USEA Beginner Novice. I’ve raised this one myself & no one has ever jumped her but Bad Eventer.
The first day after some understandable baby horse shenanigans in the warm up she was all business in the ring……………
and laid down a 24.5 in dressage nearly topping my best dressage score ever.
She was focused in the stadium ring and didn’t even blink at the Butterfly jump that all the other horses were spooking at.
The warm up for cross country was a bit exciting as a brief thunderstorm blew in & when another horse in warm up started bucking she thought that might be fun too.
As I was chatting with the ring steward I said, “I’m much more worried about Beginner Novice than I was Prelim!!”
Everything is relative, and survival of our 1st legit XC was my main concern.
Bad Eventer Rule #1 “Keep the horse between you and the ground.”
She trotted out of the start box & never put a foot wrong!
Rolex here we come!
Stay tuned for more about this weekend………………………
Congratulations!
