I decided some time back, that I needed more focus….

I thought perhaps the delay in my quest for Rolex was too many green horses irons in the fire.

I came up with the grand plan of selling the young horses I had at the time, and buying 2 Seasoned Super Stars to replace them.

Now……….I tend to be a  bit of a bargain hunter……..

Don’t we all dream of getting the $300 rescue….. on it’s way to a slaughter house and then winning the Olympics with said Diamond in the Rough???

A friend who has taken me to the ER more than once, said something like, “You’re looking for a Rolls Royce, quit trying to find it at used car lots.”

She felt it was really a matter of SAFETY if I was going to insist on jumping things like this.

I eventually decided she was right, and that I needed not to have a bunch of “hopefuls”….

 but just one or two solid competitive horses.

Fast forward a year, and though it wasn’t the plan I have not one, not two, but THREE competitive horses.

Show entry time arrived and I couldn’t decide who to take and who to leave at home…….

 With considerable some arm twisting a friend convinced me I could compete all 3 ……..no problem.

So……………In a late night alcohol haze moment of Bad Eventer-dom I entered all 3 in the first event.

Sending in the entry entries was the easy part……..

Then I started thinking about things like…………

OMG, What if it rains?????

Do I have enough studs to properly stud up THREE horses?????

OMG, that’s 12 feet, that’s 24 studs……..

What if I have super close times??????

I only have one dressage saddle…………will I be stripping tack and putting it on another horse in the freaking warm up????? What if there’s no time??????

Is a saddle really required for dressage????

Oh no, I don’t have 3 sets of XC boots……..

I can’t pull wet muddy boots off one horse and put them on another!!!!

OMG, What if it’s COLD???? I only have one Cooling blanket?????

OMG, what if it’s HOT, how much ICE will I need?????

Yeah…………..yeah…………..
