I can’t tell you how many BOY cats I’ve met named……
Daisy or Lucy because the owners originally thought they were girls………
……when the big surprise happened, they thought changing his name was BAD LUCK.
Seriously…..which is worse??? Changing his name? Or being a BOY stuck with a name like Lily???
Then there are the ones that you just can’t settle on a name.
I’ve written several blogs about naming the horse on the right!
He was relatively nameless for about a year & a half!
See Outsmarted by a Warmblood & A Horse with no Name for the rest of the story.
This lovely grey was an interesting purchase. He was on the track when I bought him, so when he came home……
Then there is this huge disparity between Registered names, Show names and Barn names.
You know what I’m talking about……
The horse who someone gifted with a name at birth like
“Luigis Favorite Past Time”
Who shows under a FANCY name like
“Light From Above”
and in the barn…..
Oh……..we call him “Mac”.
Have you ever noticed that minis have the longest names ever??
For once….. I walked away from the lovely, athletic, fancy….. but CRAZY horse I tried first.
I have to say it was tough…….. I’m sure I could have made his life better………. and I love a challenge…………but I’ve learned the hard way that the MIND has to take priority BEFORE……lovely, athletic and fancy.
So I bought one with some brains (he happens to have the rest of the package too.)
Only problem……his name is a little worrisome for someone named Bad Eventer.
Yep…..
Bad Eventer bought a horse named
Klumsy
That is hilarious! Always love your posts.
LOL, now I feel better about calling my OTTB "Baby Racehorse." But Klumsy? Surely there's a story behind that…
Love your blog! I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award! it's fun stuff.

Maybe that's a name to change, I'm certain he doesn't live up to it 😉

I concur!
Always love your blog!
I once showed a miniature stallion named "Serenity Acres Ordered a Snowdrift". The smaller the horse, the bigger the name!
