I had an awful fall a couple years ago.

It was at a corner, which would be why……….. I have a PHOBIA of them.

As I hobbled back to my trailer………I said over and over……….I wish I’d had one of those air vests on………

After my ER visit……………….

I bought an air vest the next day.

Yes, yes Bad Eventer has no lack of closing all the barn doors after all the horses have escaped.

Maybe just buying the vest helped ward off Murphy’s law because it’s been awhile……………

I used to fall off fairly regularly…….

Here’s how my show record started out….

I’ve had the air vest for awhile now…… It’s been toted around, left in the hot trailer, and in general it’s getting a little age on it. I had decided that what Bad Eventer needed to do, was TEST it and see if it actually worked.

I’d had lots of people tell me how scary they are, how loud they are, how they were nearly smothered by it…………………

I decided it was time to EXPERIENCE this in a calm setting so I’d be prepared for the worst……. The Bad Event Team had even choreographed a ridiculous “Bad Eventer Testing her Air Vest” video…….

We were going to pull the cord, complete with crazy commentary and have some total Bad Eventer fun TESTING the air vest.

Then I entered my first CIC 1*……….. and as it turned out, there was no need for the test video.

In true Bad Eventer fashion I decided just to CRASH TEST it instead……
