Einstein was definitely onto something.

The first time I saw this XC course

Bad Eventer saw this….

I remember walking that course

while quaking in my boots
 

thinking I’d never……..

no not EVER

jump those crazy things.

I wasn’t really sure what to think……

 when I walked that same course Friday and it seemed

that all those jumps had been sinking into the ground.

The first time I experienced this Sinking Jump Effect I was telling my coach about the

HUGE

MASSIVE

SCARY

CORNER JUMP

on a course we were schooling.

She kept asking me where it was on the course…….

when we finally found the jump I was talking about…….

it was………

oh……

not as impressive as I remembered it.

It’s pretty empowering when you walk up to what you once thought……

was Mount Everest……………and it’s just not that big.

    I always used to walk my own course, then after the show walk the course for the next level up. When my course started looking boring and the next level up started looking less like Mount Everest and more like something fun, I figured it was time to move up.

    And yeah, you and your wonder pony made that corner look tiny and easy. 🙂
