Bad Eventer is still searching high and low for her sitting trot.
There have been several potential sightings (thank you Liz!)
And some student commentary about blaming my inability on surgery…….
Thanks guys…..Really.
But Hey, they gave me MORPHINE, I don’t know what all they may have removed while they were at it.
Then a very unusual moment happened………….
I was trying a new saddle in front of some DQs at a rather snooty FANCY dressage barn.
I’m guessing Bad Eventer didn’t want to prove to all the dressage types standing around that she still has no idea what travers means…..
And by some strange happening……..
She rode her TRAMPOLINE LIKE BOUNCY warmblood for at least 20 minutes and never bounced once.
It was actually rather miraculous.
Maybe it was the new saddle………or the perfect footing………I have no idea what changed but I think it was mostly sheer will power not to bounce off the saddle in front of dressage queens……..
Hmmmmm I wonder if that will work at the show……………
Now that I think about it, I almost never bounce at the shows. It’s really just at home or lessons…….
There must be some combination of sheer terror, tension, stress, or maybe it’s all the pre-ride vomiting, that somehow glues me to the saddle at the competitions……….
well……..that is……………… in dressage……………
