I wasn’t PLANNING on going to the Rolex this year.

I’d really hoped my next Rolex trip would be………..

well………………..

as a competitor…………

yes – I am delusional!

But when I mapped out my epic (4000+ mile) trip & found myself within 6 hours of Rolex it was just too much to resist.

I invited my 14 year old niece………this would be her first horse show.

Asking a teenager to get up at 1:30AM, drive 6 hours & then walk MILES around a cross country course probably isn’t the best way to introduce them to eventing…………

Instantly I knew I was in trouble when she thought the Land Rover course was way more interesting to watch than the horses!

Fortunately, she entertained herself petting puppies while I took photos of ponies.

There were some interesting moments.
