Claiborne Farms.

Even if it was raining!

The history.

The superstar horses.

The halters.

David was a fantastic host and infinitely more patient with some non-horsey folks than I would have been!

Meeting some Fabulous Bad Eventer fans!!!!

Bad Eventer was definitely feeling the love walking around at Rolex!!!!

Here’s a few notes I received. They completely made my day!!

“Would tooooooooooooootally meet you guys if it’s in your schedule, Love me some Bad Eventer :-)”

“You’ve helped inspire me to push through the “marital issues” with my horse and just take a step back sometimes and have a good laugh at myself 🙂 thank you.”

“I was the crazed fan that stopped you at Rolex.
It was so funny because here is the conversation that happened 2 minutes before I ran into you…….
Me: ” Bad Eventer is here this weekend. I wish I could run into her and tell her what an inspiration she has been to my riding…….”
Trainer: ” You should send her a facebook message telling her what you just said. Then ask her if you could meet her and buy a drink.”
Me: “That would be creepy stalker.”

Then literally we turn around and there you are……so I promise I’m not a crazed psychopath.

But what I wanted to tell you is thank you. I had a really bad go about 2 years ago – I was having terrible fits with my horse, decided to sell her, and almost quit. Then I was introduced to your blog. I wanted to quit, give up, go home and find a new hobby (because you know, this was supposed to be fun.) After reading your blog, it inspired me to get out there and not take myself too seriously.
I am not going Intermediate, actually far from it……we’re doing our first BN this year. But I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for you and your blog I’d be knitting right now.

So thank you so much for what you do, and please keep writing. There are a lot of us who need your words!

Good luck this year! I’ll be cheering for you! :-)”

Aaaaaaaaw, thank you everyone!! It was so much fun chatting with you and meeting you!! Bad Eventer definitely felt the love!!

The Party in the Middle.

I love that the horse’s name is “Insanity”. Hee hee hee.

Ok, for the record, the next time there is GIANT COOKIE involved, someone needs to save me a piece!!

Some little known Bad Eventer history……………I had been thinking about writing “Tales from a Bad Eventer” for years….. But reading Leslie Wylie’s hilarious blog was my inspiration (and kick in the pants) to actually do it.

My 3 fans thank you Leslie!! Without you Bad Eventer wouldn’t exist!!

As seen on Eventing Nation!!
