Bad Eventer had quite the adventure at The Fork.
See Part 1, Part 2, & Part 3 for the beginning of the story.
I made my competition debut with the Zebrasaurus, and fortunately our dressage went significantly better than it had with TheWonderPony.
Phew.
That night there was a competitors party, but it was almost as far away as the warm up rings.
So I got a ride over.
I was thoroughly impressed with some of the dancing and when Meg Kep threw down the best “worm” I’ve ever seen, I truly regretted not getting it on video.
I like parties. And I like dancing. And I like music………..but Bad Eventer has brought the sun up at a competitors party more than once…………….
Which doesn’t help with my quest to become Bad Ass Eventer…….
So now, I keep an eye on the clock & plan my exit carefully.
When a couple of party goers were loading up into golf carts I asked one if I could get a ride.
“Sure!” he says.
“But, I have to get my truck first which is on the other side of the farm.”
No problem!
And that’s how Bad Eventer found herself on a golf cart, in the dark, on a dark road, that neither of us could see. When we hit the speed bump and both of us & the dog went airborne, my life flashed before my eyes.
Fortunately we all survived the pitch black golf cart adventure, and I made it back to my stalls physically in one piece, and only slightly mentally scarred.
Cross Country & Stadium were both huge successes.
The WonderPony was back in action……& rocked around recognized competition #70 in fine form.
The Zebrasaurus jumped around clean at our first show together.
Apparently he didn’t think the jumps were quite big enough.
Bad Eventer had one amazing adventure at The Fork.
Lovely photos! I’m glad that the next day was a big success.
